We are proud of our dedicated and highly experienced family law team headed by Lindy Armitage and superbly clerked by Mark Williams who is a regular recipient of plaudit from solicitors for his awareness and knowledge.

Members are dedicated specialist practitioners working exclusively in this field. As a result members of the team are highly focused, client orientated and understand the importance of continuity of representation.

Three of the team members were solicitors prior to qualifying as barristers and have many years experience as family law practitioners despite their relatively recent call to the Bar.

We offer specialist advice in all aspects of family law.
In child care we represent parents, children’s guardians, CAFCASS Legal, the Official Solicitor and numerous local authorities. In financial disputes we represent both publicly funded and private clients.

We recognise the need to enable professional clients to resolve complex cases and assist lay clients through stressful proceedings. Chambers close proximity to the family court enables us to provide a perfect venue for experts’ meetings and round table conferences.

We have extensive experience in the following:

Children
• Public Law Child Care
• Private Law Child Care, including applications to remove from the jurisdiction and child abduction cases
• Applications under the inherent jurisdiction in relation to minors and persons under a disability
• Domestic violence and harassment

Matrimonial Finance
• Divorce and ancillary relief
• Cohabitation disputes
• Inheritance Act applications

The team has also has vast experience of the following:
• Sexual, physical and emotional abuse
• Factitious illness syndrome
 •Cases involving
• Psychological issues
• Cultural & religious issues
• International implications
• Major enquiries

Members are available to assist at all stages, from initial advice on the law, evidence and strategy, to representation in any court or tribunal.

All our barristers in the team are members of the FLBA.
