PUPILLAGE 

The deadline for submission of applications for pupillage commencing October 2010 was 12 noon on 26 March 2009. Interviews for those pupillages will be held on 9 May 2009 in Leeds. Further applications are unlikely to be invited before Spring 2010.

General Information

We are committed to recruiting candidates of the highest calibre.

In return we provide a well-structured, stimulating and varied pupillage in a friendly, supportive environment. Pupillage includes an opportunity to sit with judges (ex-members of chambers) at all levels.

Our pupil supervisors are dedicated to providing quality tuition. They regard pupils as the future of Chambers and place great importance on their role. Their aim is to nurture your professional and personal relationships to assist you with your future career at the Bar.

Chambers usually take on one funded pupil annually, to start in September/October.

There is a Pupillage award of £7500 for the first six months and guaranteed earnings of £7500 (although billings are expected to be significantly higher than this) for the second six months. Pupils generally work 3 days out of 5.
 
Applications for sponsored Pupillage from prospective members of the Employed Bar are welcomed and considered on their individual merits. Such application should be made by way of letter and curriculum vitae.
