Hannah Whitehouse (Pupil)

Called 2019

Hannah commenced her first six under the supervision of Julia Nelson, whom focuses on family finance and private child disputes.

Prior to pupillage, Hannah studied Law at Jesus College, Cambridge, achieving a 2:1 degree. Whilst at University, Hannah competed in a number of advocacy competitions. Following her performance in the Peter Glazebrook Mooting Competition, Hannah was asked to represent Jesus College in the Jesus v Magdalene Moot, which she went on to win. Further, as a result of her position in BPP’s Advocate of the Year 2017’s winning team, Hannah received a scholarship to study on the BPTC at BPP University.

Following her degree, Hannah went on to study the Legal Practice (Barristers) LLM Course at BPP University, where she obtained a distinction overall. Hannah was the only student in the BPP Birmingham Cohort to receive an Outstanding grade for the BPTC element of the course. In addition to her studies, Hannah was a Student Representative for the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, responsible for organising Qualifying Sessions for BPTC students on circuit.

Whilst at BPP Hannah also took part in the local Streetlaw programme, which involved her visiting local secondary schools and teaching young people about legal issues using practical and interactive teaching methods. As part of this project, Hannah gave a talk to inmates at HMP Winson Green on release and recall.
