Harriet Stacey (Pupil)

Called 2021

Harriet commenced her specialist family finance pupillage in April 2021 under the supervision of Elizabeth Darlington.

Harriet studied Law at the University of Cambridge, graduating in 2019 with first class honours and the John Hall prize for Family Law. After graduating, she returned to the university as a College Supervisor in Land Law and Equity from 2019-2021.

During the BPTC she volunteered as an advisor with BPP Leeds’ Legal Advice Service providing written advice on a range of family law matters including child contact disputes, the validity of overseas marriage and TOLATA claims.

Prior to pupillage she worked as Judicial Assistant to Mr Justice Cohen and Mrs Justice Knowles at the High Court (Family Div). During this time she gained experience across a broad range of family and Court of Protection work through providing research, reviewing the merits of applications to appeal and drafting judgments. She gained particular experience in complex and high net worth financial remedies work including pre and post-nuptial agreements, MFPA 1984 Pt III applications and the non-disclosure of assets.
