Donna Quigley

Donna became a tenant in January 2016 after completing a specialist family law pupillage under the supervision of Alex Taylor.

Under the supervision of Alex Taylor, Donna developed an excellent grounding in all areas of family law, particularly in public law proceedings. She also gained experience in financial remedies and Court of Protection during pupillage.

Since being on her feet, Donna has been instructed in a wide range of both public and private law cases representing Local Authorities, parents and children.

Areas of Expertise

Public Law

Donna has represented parents in care proceedings, opposing applications for care and placement orders during multi day final hearings.

She also has experience representing parents in applications to discharge care orders and applications for leave to oppose adoption orders.

Donna has experience dealing with last minute applications, particularly applications for interim care orders where she has represented parents, local authorities and children.

She regularly attends case management hearings, public law applications (Part 25 applications for example), interim review hearings and advocates’ meetings.

Private Law

Donna has represented parents at all stages of private law applications, including disputes over contact and residence.

She has represented parents in urgent applications for prohibited steps orders and specific issue orders where there have been threats made by one parent to leave the jurisdiction.
