Throughout her first six, Maryam has gained exposure to a variety of commercial and chancery work. In particular, she is able to provide advice and representation in the following matters:

  • Claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996;

  • General landlord/tenants disputes;
  • Construction and/or rectification of wills;

Maryam read Law (Jurisprudence) at the University of Oxford, receiving prizes in Contract and Criminal Law, as well as obtaining first-class grades in Contract, Commercial, and International Trade Law.

Prior to commencing pupillage, she worked as a litigation paralegal at a top ranked firm, where she was involved with the Diesel Emissions Group Litigation. She was also awarded a Bar Course Scholarship by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, and completed the bar training course at BPP University, achieving a distinction.
