Rachel Carter (Pupil)
About
Rachel Carter commenced her family pupillage in October 2025 under the supervision of Farzana Tai.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Rachel worked as a Legal Officer in the Adult and Litigation Department at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council. She assisted lawyers with 21A challenges, inquests, safeguarding, inherent jurisdiction, trading standards, s.135 mental health warrants, SEN Tribunals and ordinary residence.
Rachel has also gained international family law experience through working as a paralegal in a specialist family law firm in Western Australia. Within that role, Rachel assisted a senior associate with complex parenting disputes, children’s court proceedings, and financial and property matters. Her work regularly involved high-conflict cases engaging issues such as domestic abuse and mental health.
Rachel has previous experience within the charity sector providing advice to vulnerable clients.
