Prior to commencing pupillage, Holly worked as a knowledge management and compliance paralegal within the commercial litigation department at Stewarts. She gained experience in a wide range of matters including litigation funding agreements and the Financial Conduct Authority’s rules and guidance on financial promotions.
During her time at Newcastle University, Holly was a founding member of the Bar Society and remains an active part of the society to date, returning to Newcastle to sit as a panellist at careers events and to judge advocacy competitions.
Holly also undertook a wide range of pro bono work during her degree, including drafting wills and powers of attorney for clients of a charity.
Outside of work, Holly is a keen equestrian and competed in show jumping and dressage for a number of years. She also enjoys watching Formula 1 and likes to travel when time allows, having visited South Africa, Cuba, Fiji and New Zealand over the past few years.

Holly was awarded the DLA Contract Prize for the highest performance in the contract law module of her degree in 2016.
Holly was awarded an Advocacy Scholarship from BPP to study the BPTC in 2018.
