Jade commenced a civil pupillage with Parklane Plowden in November 2018 under the supervision of Sarah Brewis and Claire Millns. Jade maintains a broad civil practice but has a particular interest clinical negligence, inquests and personal injury.
Before pupillage, Jade worked in the clinical negligence department at Stewarts in Leeds; a top ranked law firm in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Jade has experience in a wide range of clinical negligence areas including cases involving orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, mental health, intrauterine deaths, and spinal and brain injuries. In 2017, Jade had a medical law paper published by Cambridge Law Review focussing on children and parental consent to non-therapeutic medical procedures.
Jade studied Law at the University of Leeds where she received the Pamela Walsh Peaker Memorial Scholarship for excellence. She was also awarded the Capsticks Health Care Prize, a prize awarded to the highest achieving student in Health Care Law. She went on to study the BPTC at the University of Law in Leeds, achieving Outstanding in a number of modules.
