Jade commenced a civil pupillage with Parklane Plowden in November 2018 under the supervision of Sarah Brewis and Claire Millns.
Prior to pupillage, Jade studied Law at the University of Leeds. She achieved First Class awards in Health Care Law, Intellectual Property and her Dissertation module. Jade received the Pamela Walsh Peaker Memorial Scholarship for excellence and the Capsticks Health Care Prize awarded to the highest achieving student in Health Care Law. During her time at university, Jade was also the winner of the University of Leeds Senior Mooting Competition.
Jade went on to study the Bar Professional Training Course at the University of Law in Leeds, achieving Outstanding in Civil Advocacy and Resolutions of Dispute Outside Court. During her studies, Jade had a paper on Medical Law published by Cambridge Law Review entitled "Children Under the Knife: Current Interests, Future Interests or Parental Interests?". Jade also enjoyed volunteering as an advocate for the Yorkshire Tribunal Advocacy Project, assisting people with appealing decisions regarding their entitlement to ESA and PIP.
She went on to work as a paralegal in the clinical negligence department at Stewarts in Leeds; a top ranked law firm in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Jade worked on a variety of clinical negligence cases including orthopaedic, mental health, and high value spinal and brain injury cases.
