As part of the Family Team #WineAndWebinar series, we are hosting a charity webinar, ‘Child Marriage Bill’.

Natasha Rattu, Executive Director of Karma Nirvana, together with Payzee Mahmod, Campaigner against Child Marriage, will discuss the Bill soon to have a second reading before the House of Commons: seeking to change the law that currently allows 16 – 17 year olds to marry with parental consent in England and Wales.
This webinar will include:
- Overview of the end child marriage campaign – how it started, where it is now and how people are supporting it.
- The proposals – the current gaps in the law and how the bill proposes to change this.
- Case examples
- Crucially, Payzee Mahmod’s personal testimony about the impact of child marriage.
- Time allowing, some audience discussion.
