Parklane Plowden Chambers now has seven qualified Mental Health First Aiders

Following a two-day course undertaken by staff and barristers, Parklane Plowden Chambers now has seven qualified Mental Health First Aiders. Looking after the mental health and general wellbeing of those working in Chambers is a priority, particularly given the often-pressurised working environment. The training course touched on a range of mental health issues, and taught delegates how to spot the signs of someone who is struggling, and how best to offer support to individuals affected. Research shows that 1 in 4 people are affected by mental ill health, therefore learning how to listen, reassure and actively support those who are experiencing mental ill health within a workplace setting is becoming increasingly important.   Mental Health First Aiders Richard Copnall Rachael Duck Georgina Nolan Stephen Render Sharon Robson Giorgia Sessi Simon Wilkinson
