PARENTS who are wrongly accused of abusing their children will be less able to defend their case in family courts if new government proposals are adopted, senior barristers said last night.

Under the Family - Justice Bill - pressures to cut costs will lead to a six-month limit to investigate cases of abuse, with less reliance on independent experts.
