Unlawful force contributed towards death of boy, 14, in cell

Jeremy Freedman sat as Assistant Deputy Coroner for the North District of Durham and Darlington, in the high profile inquest into the the Death of Adam Rickwood aged 14 who was found hanged in his cell at Hassockfield Secure Training Centre in County Durham in August 2004.

The inquest received national coverage and generated much interest and debate.
