Leila Benyounes second appointment as Assistant Coroner

We are pleased to announce that Leila Benyounes, Head of our Inquests and Inquiries Team, has been appointed as Assistant Coroner for West Yorkshire (East).

This appointment is in addition to Leila’s appointment as Assistant Coroner for Gateshead and South Tyneside.

Leila will sit part time whilst continuing with her busy practice in coronial law and clinical negligence disputes.  She regularly acts for interested persons in inquests arising out of a range of matters, including high profile Article 2 jury inquests. 

Ranked as a leading junior in Inquests and Inquiries in the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, Leila has been appointed to the Attorney General’s Treasury Counsel Panel A since 2010 and is appointed as a Recorder in Crime on the North Eastern Circuit. Leila’s full profile can be accessed here.
