Parklane Plowden visited Proactive Prosthetics in Leeds
26 June 2026

Parklane Plowden was delighted to arrange a specialist networking and insight event at Proactive Prosthetics in Leeds, bringing together leading solicitors working in the fields of personal injury and clinical negligence.

Guests joined Parklane Plowden at Proactive Prosthetics in Leeds for an evening focused on rehabilitation, prosthetics and client outcomes.

The event provided an opportunity for legal professionals to see first-hand the expertise, technology, and multidisciplinary care involved in modern prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation. The event included a presentation and tour led by expert prosthetists Jamie Gillepsie and Asad Khan.  Guests were able to hear about and discuss the practical realities faced by injured clients, the importance of early and effective rehabilitation, and the way in which high-quality expert input can support recovery, independence, and long-term outcomes. The event offered a valuable reminder that successful case preparation is not only about legal analysis, but also about understanding the client’s rehabilitation journey.

We are grateful to Proactive Prosthetics for welcoming us to their Leeds clinic and for sharing their insight into patient-centred prosthetic, orthotic, and rehabilitation services.

Thank you also to all the solicitors and professional partners who joined us for what proved to be an engaging and informative afternoon, including solicitors from Irwin Mitchell, Fletchers, Hudgells, Morrish, Hay & Kilner, Sintons, Armstrong Foulkes, Ison Harrison, Hempsons, Switalskis, and C L Medilaw.

Parklane Plowden remains committed to supporting collaboration between the Bar, solicitors, rehabilitation providers, and expert professionals, particularly in cases where specialist evidence and a good practical understanding can make a real difference to injured clients.

Guests saw first-hand the specialist work and machinery involved in creating prosthetic and orthotic devices to support rehabilitation and mobility.

The event also reflected Parklane Plowden’s wider experience in high-value personal injury and clinical negligence litigation, including claims involving amputation and complex orthopaedic injuries. Members of chambers regularly act in cases where expert prosthetic, orthotic, care, and rehabilitation evidence is central to achieving the most appropriate outcomes for injured clients.

Guests then went on to enjoy some food and drinks at The Good Luck Club in Wellington place, and enjoyed networking, reflecting on what they had learnt and connecting with peers within the industry.
