Barristers, Clerks…and dogs…raise £1,000 participating in the Newcastle Legal Walk

A team of enthusiastic barristers and clerks, along with their children and dogs, took to the paths about Newcastle on 23rd May 2016 to raise £1,000 for the North East Legal Support Trust [NELST].
NELST provide financial support to organisaions who help:
  • Prevent families being made homeless
  • Prevent destitution
  • Help older people gain the support to which they are entitled
  • Help women and children who have been trafficked for domestic servitude or prostitution.
The 10km sponsored walk took in many of the famous landmarks in and around Newcastle, including St James Park, Millenium Bridge, Leazes Park and Ouse Burn.
It's fair to say that it was the team of Parklane Plowden dogs that stole the show with their personalised neckerchiefs!
Many thanks to all those who sponsored the team...espcially the mum of barrister Sarah Brewis who generously donated £100 to ensure we hit our target!
