Jade will provide a practical introduction to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), exploring their significance within the coronial jurisdiction, including the concepts of state detention and Article 2 obligations.
The session will also consider the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision in AGNI, the practical implications for existing DoLS authorisations, and the potential consequences for coronial law and practice going forward.
