Alice commenced her family law pupillage in October 2026 under the supervision of Lucy Sowden and Rebecca Musgrove. Prior to pupillage, Alice worked as a Paralegal for local authorities, including Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council and Stoke-on-Trent City Council. She assisted lawyers across the Children’s and Adults’ Social Care legal teams with the preparation of court bundles, case administration and court hearings.

Alice has over three years’ experience as a specialist domestic and sexual violence advocate, supporting victims and survivors in complex, high-risk cases involving coercive and controlling behaviour, sexual exploitation, problematic substance use and dual allegations of abuse. She provided trauma-informed support to vulnerable clients involved in public and private children law proceedings. Alice also delivered multidisciplinary training to GP and sexual health clinics on domestic and sexual violence, helping professionals to identify risks and respond effectively.
