Charlotte is experienced in all areas of family practice, particularly public and private law children cases and proceedings under Part IV of the Family Law Act 1996.
She routinely represents all types of clients including Local Authorities, parents, Guardians, intervenors and other extended family members at all levels of the Family Court.
Charlotte regularly appears in cases involving complex non-accidental injury, lengthy fact-finding hearings, serious neglect, sexual abuse and domestic violence.
She is well-versed with Local Authority procedures and policies having undertaken secondments with a Local Authority and has substantial experience of public law jurisdictional issues.

Re G (2017) – represented a Local Authority seeking threshold findings of multiple inflicted fractures, involving complex medical issues.
Re B Children (2017) – Successful appeal on behalf of a parent to the Court of Appeal against the making of a Placement Order.
Re J (2015) – Represented a mother accused of inflicting serious non-accidental injuries in a 5 day fact-finding hearing, involving disputed medical evidence. Secured the return of the child to the parents’ care, the Judge having made none of the threshold findings sought by the Local Authority.
